LETS Instructor Training is for music teachers, English literacy leaders, EAL or ESL teachers at any stage of their career who love singing and teaching, who are dedicated to supporting and guiding students in their journey to being more confident in their English pronunciation, and who want to use The Learn English Through Singing The Sharkey Method™ in their community.

INSTRUCTOR TRAINING FEE

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT (to the first ten applicants):
$325 CAD

REGULAR FEE:
$400 CAD

WHAT YOU'LL GET

• Successful applicants complete a full 22 hours of the intensive online training course with LETS founder, Maura Sharkey-Pryma.
• The instructor training will be conducted online via Zoom.
• The LETS Instructor Training Guide.
• You will be guided through an engaging and organized method of the LETS lesson material, exercises and curriculum used in the course, and will learn how to make the course customizable for your class.
• You will review the foundational materials and practice teaching with other trainees in break-out sessions.
• There will be a quiz at the end to confirm your understanding and attendance.
• Successful candidates will be sent a certificate of completion of the training, a one-year licensing agreement and invoice for the licensing fee. The first year licensing fee is $175 CAD and includes the official LETS Instructor Manual.
• The annual licence renewal fee is $100 CAD. There is a mandatory refresher training fee of $135 CAD every two years before receiving licensing renewal.
• ​Goods and Services Tax (GST) shall not be applicable to the fees mentioned above.​​​​​

We highly recommend that potential applicants have a minimum of two years experience in any of the following*:

Private or Group Voice/Music instruction
Classroom instruction (anywhere from elementary to post-secondary)
Musical Theatre instruction
Experience in English as an Additional Language (EAL) instruction is an asset but not mandatory
